There are various reasons why clients may not be seeing fast results.
Learn more about why this might be happening.

Not Following Aftercare
Typically when a client comes back to me saying they are not seeing results I ask them if they have been following the aftercare “homework” that was assigned to them.
If the answer is “no”, then they have their answer.
If their answer is “yes” I move into other factors that could possibly be affecting their results.
Consistency is key. Consistent contouring sessions, frequent gym visits, a healthy diet, and overall water consumption increase all play a vital part in ensuring that the treatment is effective.
Unfortunately, if they are being overlooked, it will take longer to see results.

Alcohol or Caffeine
Alcohol and caffeine can dehydrate the body. This can put a halt to seeing results.
When the body is dehydrated it stores water and preserves it so that the body can keep functioning. Due to the body holding water it can cause bloating.
With body contouring, we rely on the lymphatic system and its purpose. Being dehydrated can also prevent the lymphatic system from properly functioning. If it is not properly operating it is likely that the results you are yearning for may take longer to achieve.

Medications
Medications can affect our treatment drastically and can limit the effectiveness of our treatments. Sometimes fat can become resistant to certain medications. So please keep this in mind!
1) Certain drugs can increase our appetite causing us to snack or overeat
2) Some drugs can make the body hold onto more salt, which leads to water build up= AKA bloating-This can happen with people who are taking medication for diabetes
3) Other drugs can increase weight by stimulating the body to create more tissue and fat-Sometimes birth control has this effect
4) Lastly, some drugs make it difficult for you to get up and exercise- in this case you burn less everyday(antihistamines)

Underlying Medical Conditions
If you have any medical conditions that could possibly affect our treatment effectiveness, then body contouring may not be suitable for you.
Examples could be
Diabetes, liver/kidney conditions, migraines, cancer, cancer treatments, and hernias. Please speak with your general practitioner to get clearance if you are unsure. I am not a medical professional and do not have the proper qualifications to advise further.

Stress
Stress can have a huge impact on your body. Stress can make a person less motivated to eat right or go to the gym. Not only that it can also affect our sleep patterns.
With body contouring treatments, it is imperative that we get a good night’s rest so that our bodies can restore themselves during the resting period.

Hormonal Inbalances
Insulin
A hormone secreted by the pancreas. Its main role is to regulate sugar levels and promote fat storage, especially around the belly.Cortisol
A stress hormone. If cortisol is elevated typically insulin is increased and can make weight loss difficult.Estrogen
The hormone helps to regulate metabolism and body weight. Lower levels of estrogen may lead to weight gain. High levels of estrogen in the body can irritate the cells that produce insulin. In turn, this can make your insulin resistant and blood sugar levels begin to rise to cause weight gain.
